Man Saved From Brink Of Non-Surgical Recovery
A Super Hero Surgeon has prevented a man from throwing himself down a non-surgical treatment pathway for a nagging knee complaint.
“I’m not going to lie to you, it was a close run thing,” said the man to our reporter. “The knee has been a problem for, geez let me think… it feels like forever, it must be as long as 4-5 weeks, maybe longer. Anyways, I had just had enough… I was ready to throw it all in and just give it a few weeks to sort itself out, you know, maybe keep plugging away at work, see how it goes with a few tweaks to my exercise routine and then just get back to gradually building things up again. I tell ya, I was right on the edge… but the good doc here talked me down”.
The Doctor he referenced was Dr Bruce Clarkent-Wayne III, otherwise known as “The Superhero Surgeon” by his legions of adoring fans.
“Well, I’m reluctant to heap praise on myself or big note myself in anyway… but I must admit I really outdid myself this time”, explained Dr Clarkent-Wayne III. “The poor bugger… Had he gone through with it, it would’ve been such a waste of a spot on my operating schedule. I mean talk about a sliding doors moment… right now he would be dealing with three, possibly four months of diminishing discomfort as he embarked upon a non-surgical management route for his mild knee osteoarthritis”.
But thankfully, according to Dr Clarkent-Wayne III, the story looks to have a happy ending on the horizon.
“Oh yes he will do well… but I must stress that I can’t take all the credit. My experienced team of one, captained by me, managed to talk him down. We consulted with him, and together with myself, helped him see the sense in going ahead with an unnecessary arthroscope as soon as next week. This is a win for all parties involved”.
