Sensible Gym Person carefully weighs risk versus reward

A member of a local Fitness Centre and avid exercise enthusiast has demonstrated his prowess on the gym floor with a lifting performance that is as creative as it is redundant.

“I love squatting bro. Any chance I get I’m squatting”, explained Quentin Quadly. “But I just don’t find it challenging or impressive enough for the people watching me from the treadmills. So I thought, why not combine a heavy back squat with some cool proprioceptive training… Sure, the risk of coming off an inflated ball with 100kg precariously balanced on my shoulders is there, but it looks cool and last time I did it I’m fairly certain I saw a hot bird with massive cans giving me a come hither smile. My buddy Ivan reads chicks like a book and he reckoned she wanted me bad.

But leaving that aside, it’s a great exercise in its own right. It allows me to perform a squat at nowhere near the load I could lift on a stable surface, while also providing me with proprioceptive capacity that has little to no transfer to other activities I regularly get up to. Win-win hey bro”.
