Novel Taping Technique Produces Positive Outcomes
Researchers have developed a novel taping strategy that is producing promising results in preliminary trials. For decades, Physiotherapists have applied tape in its various guises to injured or painful body parts to provide patients relief and a sense of support. But until the development of this novel approach, no specific technique has been associated with such impressive clinical outcomes.
“It’s pretty amazing”, said lead researcher, Bryan Bobblebot. “It just takes one strip of tape placed firmly across the Physio’s mouth and suddenly all the patients were walking out feeling great!”
The research group is reluctant to speculate too broadly about a causal link between the taping intervention and improved clinical outcomes, telling our reporter, “It’s early days in our preliminary trials but our data to date suggest that a large majority of Physio patients do very well when the treating clinician simply shuts the fuck up”.
