Man who protested covid lockdown orders demands end to violent #BLM protests
A man who marched into the State Capitol building to protest coronavirus lockdown orders armed with a loaded AR-15 rifles says the Black-Lives-Matter protests and associated violence against state authorities is intolerable and must end immediately.
“These black-lives-matter protesters are out of line, inciting violence with their voices and outlandish civil rights demands. What are the Riot Police and National Guard supposed to do in the face of these redundant demands for equality? They only have their full body armour and shields to protect themselves from the protesters’ angry words. They don’t even get to carry guns with real bullets. It’s unfair and those protesters should go home” said the anonymous racist.
Our reporter asked what he thought about the claims of hypocrisy levelled at him from some sections of the media, given that his opposition to the BLM protests seem at odds with his own civil rights protest over covid lockdown orders just a matter of weeks ago.
“No it’s not the same thing at all. I was well within my self-assessed rights to ignore lifesaving social distancing measures while me and my buddies stormed the State Capitol building with our high powered automatic rifles. That was a justifiable threat of political violence because that was my freedom and my livelihood at stake. And lets face it, it was only white guys carrying deadly weapons, so there was no great risk that the authorities would reflexively take us out and spark a riot like they would a bunch of armed black guys. Plus, we were protesting to get back to our jobs. The black people don’t have any jobs. So I think you’re drawing a false equivalency between the two protests. This black-lives-matter crowd though, it’s just on another level. And most importantly, none of what they’re marching for benefits me in any way, shape or form. So they should stop”.
Our reporter put it to the anonymous racist that an end to systemic racial discrimination could be broadly beneficial to everyone, including white racists. As an example our reporter proposed that it might lead to the breaking down of things like the prison-industrial complex, and in the process, free up billions of employment dollars for all of society.
To which he replied, “Yeah, na… that’s not a world I want to live in. I think it’s time for them to quit their whinging and get back in their box”.
