‘Privileged Lives Matter’ movement gathers momentum

As the #BLM movement continues to be expressed in the form of emotional protests and civil unrest within the USA and countries across the globe, a group of upper middle elite bogan citizens in Sydney have banded together to kickstart their own movement.

Espousing the moniker, privileged-lives-matter, and working hard to launch the #PLM hashtag, the founding members of the movement have taken to their leafy, well manicured streets to demand recognition for their own personal and sociopolitical challenges. #PLM spokesperson, Percy McDollarbucks took a 10minutes break from a round of golf at the Swanky Hills Country Club to chat with our reporter.

“You know it’s not all smooth sailing for us. I mean sure, as a member of a 99.4% white neighbourhood with zero unemployment and no visible crime, we’ve never been racially profiled by Police or discriminated against by the local shopkeeper. But sometimes the southerly blows really hard through the harbour and literally makes smooth sailing very difficult. We had to shift brunch to the lower gazebo last Sunday because of the wind and I can tell you that raised a few eyebrows at the Yacht Club. My wife was terribly embarrassed.

I get so tired of seeing these BLM protestors complaining about their lot in life. If you’ve been dealt a bad hand in life, it’s up to you to pull your socks up and overcome life’s hurdles. I mean, I wasn’t born in a Point Piper mansion. I was raised in a humble 5 bedroom Bronte apartment with only one live-in Butler. I’ve worked my butt off to get to where I am. So if I’m privileged, it’s because I’ve earned it. So if you want to call us privileged, go ahead and say it. I’ve earned my privilege and I want to make sure everyone knows that privileged lives matter”.
