Report: Daily Deadlifting Increases Chances Of Posting About It By 60%
A report by The International Sports Science Social Media Oversight Authority has revealed that daily deadlifting increases one’s chance of broadcasting one’s proof of one’s deadlifting on one’s preferred social media platform by as much as 60%. Of the 100,000 strong sample of dedicated daily deadlifting dudes (DDDD), 60,482 had notified the public of their daily deadlifting in the previous 7 day period via a social media post dedicated to their deadlifting activities.
Of the 60,000 DDDDs, 82% used a self-styled video to notify the public that they have indeed been deadlifting. While the majority of the remaining DDDDs (17%) made their deadlifting known to the public by way of humorous memes targeting the deadlifting techniques of those who deadlift differently to the way they deadlift… or by posting links to YouTube clips of 1980s Swiss athlete, Werner Gunthor.
The authors of the study have urged caution in interpreting these results, stressing that correlation does not equal causation. “We can not conclude that dedicated daily deadlifting is a specific cause of the observed social media behaviour, but we do concede that it’s not a fucken long bow to draw” said the lead author of the study.
