NRL and AFL firm as favourites for the prestigious RSAC Award

In recent weeks authorities within the NBA, MLB, PGA, ATP, EPL, and Formula One Racing took the decision to cancel, or at least suspend their competitions as the world continues to grapple with the spread of the COVID-19 virus. It’s become clear that despite their huge budgets, none of these global sporting brands have been able to match the gutsy narrow mindedness or the plucky shortsightedness of the leaders of the AFL and NRL in Australia.

“Once again, us Aussies are punching above our weights! None of the other big sports in America or England or wherever have been able to keep their seasons running have they? hey?” said Russell “Rusty” Parker, a proud footy fan with a distinguished neck tattoo.

With all other major sporting codes across the globe having meekly succumbed to the seductively shameful desire to put the health of their athletes and the broader public writ large, before profits, there remain just two contenders in the race for this year’s prestigious RSAC (Reprehensible Sports Administration Conduct) award.

We wait with bated breath to learn which organisation will blink first and kowtow to their pesky duty of care obligations, and which organisation will stand strong, appease their television and media overlords, and claim 2020’s highly sort after RSAC award.
