New Treatment: High Virtue Healthcare

The market for managing injury and pain problems will become a little more crowded in 2023. “High Virtue Care” is set to arrive on a Continuing Professional Development platform near you. The man responsible for pioneering the novel assessment and treatment system, Hans Hansoffer, explained it’s genesis in a tell all interview with our reporter.

“For a long time I’d been labelled a “High Value” care provider by my colleagues and insta-enemies alike” explained Mr Hansoffer, “And whilst I admit I have always welcomed the label as a point of departure from those predatory and morally bankrupt promulgators of low value care, I never felt that the term “High Value” accurately reflected the purity of intention behind my craft. You see, to the average chap, “high value” care might mistakenly be understood to mean high value for not just the patient, but the provider too… Can you imagine?” exclaimed Mr Hansoffer, pausing briefly to shake off a cold shiver, as he pondered a dystopian reality within which high value care incorporated benefits for providers too.

“Good golly molly josh, I hate to imagine it… And naturally, with so much at stake, it was clear to me that there was an obvious need for a reframe. So I thought to myself, it’s self evident that high value healthcare isn’t about value for all stakeholders... It’s about the Patient getting all the value. I don’t seek out any plaudits, and nor should I or any other healthcare provider. In fact, we should actively shun them. We shouldn’t be getting around seeking credit or reward for our work. And that’s when it dawned on me… we providers need to be more virtuous. High Virtue Care is the way forward”.

Mr Hansoffer went on to expand on his ideas, explaining that, “It is time we all realised that healthcare should not involve any form of material gains or rewards for providers. That ethical slope is just too steep and slippery. We must ensure that healthcare providers do not receive any value from their work- except of course, for the soul nourishing sense of charitable pride that comes from knowing you are the most virtuous healthcare providers on social media, I mean, in the land”.
